WELCOME
TO
SHESHOOTS

I created SHE SHOOTS to provide a safe space for female athletes struggling with the intense pressures and mental demands of competitive sports. Growing up playing soccer my whole life I've experienced, firsthand, some of the unique battles athletes can face. From having to take an 8-month break from my sport due to injury to being the only girl on a team, I’ve learned that as much as athletics act as an escape from problems, it can be the source of them as well. I've always felt passionate about improving the female athletic experience and with SHE SHOOTS, that’s exactly what I plan to do.

MISSION STATEMENT

My mission is to empower female athletes by providing them with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to overcome unique mental and physical health battles associated with their sport. Through blogs and podcasts, I aim to create a supportive community where young girls can access advice, find inspiration, and learn the importance and path to a balanced life. I believe in the benefit of hearing perspectives athletes can relate to and learn from. I am committed to helping athletes navigate the complexities of their journeys as well as helping them find the meaning within them.

Q: What is one challenge you’ve faced as a female athlete, and how did you overcome it?

A: One of the biggest challenges to navigate as a female athlete in my opinion is learning how to treat your body. Listening and learning the signals that your body gives you is really important. Navigating how to eat, what to eat, your menstrual cycle, strength training, accepting your body, etc. will all be ongoing processes throughout life and investing in your mental and physical health early will make life easier in the long run
